Submitting Orders in Juntar

Please note that Juntar has replaced email ordering as of January 2, 2024.

Log into Juntar

Select the Create icon in the top taskbar

Item Information:

  • Select the Video / Film item type at the top of the form and enter information in the relevent fields.

  • If format is not otherwise specified, Resource Acquisitions will order a DVD copy.
  • Including a link in the Where did you find this field helps eliminate any confusion with similar titles.

Classroom Use:

  • If you know the film is intended for classroom use, STOP and ask the faculty member to submit a request to DMS.  DMS will then pass the request to Resource Acquisitions if a title does not exist in the Libraries' collection.

Event Use:

  • Select Yes to display the fields needed to secure the rights for an event.
  • This is intended for events outside a classroom and on campus.
  • Special rights are not needed for classroom use.
  • The Libraries does not license films for events off-campus and does not fund to license event rights without admin approval.
  • Complete the Libraries' proposal form to request funding for event rights.

Price Information:

  • The amount entered may be an estimate.

Routing:

  • Select the primary subject area fund that will use the resource.
  • FGEN is typically only used upon direction from APCS or ACR.

Submit:

  • check the box at the bottom of the screen and click the submit button

Digitizing Films

Digitizing a Film for Online Class Use:

If the item is needed for an online class, the instructor will need to start by completing a request with Digital Media Services for digitization. DMS will pass the request on to Resource Acquisitions if a title needs to be ordered (either in DVD or streaming format) for the Libraries' collection.

Below is a flowchart that describes the process for a request.

This flowchart describes the process of a DMS film request for classroom use.

Public Performance Rights via Email

Public Performance Rights (PPR) are needed when there is expressed desire to show a film outside the classroom. (See the guide answering common PPR questions for more information about PPR.)

  • the event must be held on campus
  • provide at least 2 months notice before the scheduled event
  • know that it may not be possible to acquire PPR for each request
  • there is a cost associated with PPR and many PPR licenses are for a single event; discuss funding options with the requestor (do they, their department, or organization plan to pay for the showing or hope that the libraries will be a funding partner?)
  • consult with Steven Milewski or Jennie Mezick if you are unfamiliar with this process

Include the following information when requesting PPR: (for either PPR alone or for a film order with PPR)

  • name of event
  • location of event
  • date of event
  • anticipated number of attendees
