Tools

• Adobe - Color Wheel and Extractor
  • Useful when trying to find complementary colors or extract colors from an image.
• Compress JPEG/PNG/PDF
  • Although not accessibility-specific, this site allows you to upload images and PDFs for compression. Compressing images and PDFs before uploading them onto your site will reduce the load time.
• W3C - HTML Color Picker
  • Site allows users to choose a color or hue and find variations. Also, lists the codes for colors.
• W3Schools - CSS Text
  • Teaches users to use CSS to code text (inluding color, font size, alignment, etc.).
• WebAIM
  • Contrast Checker
    • Useful tool to verify foreground and background contrast meets WCAG
  • WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool
    • Browser extension that will check site for accessibility
• Wikipedia - Web colors
  • Site lists the codes for several commonly used colors.
