Lynda.com is an online learning environment for software, programming, and more made available through the Office of Information Technology for UTK students, faculty, and staff. The login button is to the right. After logging in, search for topics like "data mining" , "data science", or "text mining". Lynda also has a rich variety of content for basic skills in all manner of programming languages, XML, SQL, databases, etc.
The Office of Information Technology offers workshops throughout the year on topics such as programming in Python or R, as well as text and data analytics using various softwares.
