The readings provided on this guide are a compilation of readings the STRIDE committee has discussed over several years grouped roughly by category. Readings are generally listed in one category even though many could easily fall into multiple categories. For example, an article that explore bias among women is likely in bias category even though the gender category could also apply.
STRIDE information
STRIDE (Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence) is a faculty-led committee whose mission is to increase excellence and diversity by improving faculty hiring processes that seek to attract and retain the best possible candidates.
This guide provides resources and readings that inform the STRIDE Committee presentations and workshops.
