Hakluyt Society volumes

The Hakluyt Society was founded in London in 1846 to "advance knowledge and education by the publication of scholarly editions of primary records of voyages, travels and other geographical material." (Website: http://www.hakluyt.com/).  Over the years the Society has published hundreds of volumes of travel accounts in three series plus an extra series. All are in English.  You can see the entire list of the library holdings via the catalog.  Go to advanced search (link on homepage), select UT collections, and search for Hakluyt Society as an exact phrase.  Use topic facet at left side to limit search. The older volumes are in Special Collections and the newer volumes are the stacks under call number G161.H2.  Some older volumes are also full-text in Google Books or Hathi Trust.
