How to get a book from Pendergrass Library as of  7/20/2020

Request using OneSearch.  See slide below.
Book will be placed on a cart outside the Pendergrass Library entrance, checked out to you, in an interoffice envelope, available for pick up on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 – 11:00 AM
Wait for confirmation email (example below) before going to pick up book from cart.

Book pick up is available to faculty, staff, and graduate students, not to undergraduate students at this time.


Books in HathiTrust are not available for this service. 

Book pick up must be requested using OneSearch.  Pendergrass Library is not open to the UT community just yet.  We expect that Pendergrass will open in next 2-4 weeks.  Announcement to follow.


Book pick up at Pendergrass Library is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Books will be available for pick-up for 2 weeks from check-out date. Please no in-person interaction with library staff. 


Wait for confirmation email notification that the requested book is available for pick-up before going to pick up book from cart.  READ confirmation notice!




Only items in the Pendergrass collection will be available for pick-up at Pendergrass.

If the book is at Hodges Library OR the Music Library, it will be available for pick-up at Hodges Library. 


Pick-up from Hodges Library is at the Melrose entrance vestibule from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  See FAQ

The UT Libraries programmers are working on adding ebooks to the feed as of 7/2020.
