ALEC 240: Effective Oral Communication

Research and citation support for ALEC 240

Welcome and Purpose

This guide has been made for ALEC 240 to help students evaluate, find, and verbally cite information sources relevant to agriculture.

Please feel free to reach out to us at Pendergrass or schedule a consultation on our appointment scheduler.

Appropriately documenting researching is important for several reasons. Good practices help to:

  • Establish credibility and authority.
  • Showcase your efforts
  • Eliminate the chance of plagiarism.
  • Allow others to verify speech position or claims.

Verbally documenting research can be effectively accomplished in all types of speeches, whether they be:

  • Introductory
  • Informative
  • Persuasive
  • Demonstrative
