Fabrication

Medbery Makerspace offers several fabrication tools and resources for bringing digital designs to life. These include our 3D printers, our Cricut vinyl cutter, and our button makers. Please use the tabs on the left to navigate through our fabrication resources. Some pieces of equipment, such as our 3D printers and vinyl cutter, require a quick 30-minute certification course prior to use. 

3D Printer Certification

Get Certified to Use the 3D Printers!

Show staff that you can do the basics with a machine and you will be certified and approved to use that machine.

  • safely load and unload filament
  • clean the bed
  • download and slice a model
  • correctly set temperatures
  • start a print

Once certified, show your ID and request a USB drive to get started.

Cricut Certification

Get Certified to Use the Cricut!

Show staff that you can do the basics with a machine and you will be certified and approved to use that machine.

  • use the cricut design tool to create basic shapes and text
  • prepare design to cut vinyl sticker
  • load vinyl onto carrier
  • execute cut
  • learn about additional materials that can be used with the Cricut

Once certified, show your ID and request a USB drive to get started.
