Sometimes when you perform a search in Libby you may get very few or no results. There are a few options to try before giving up on your search.
In our example image, we searched for the book Summer Sons by Lee Mandelo using the search query "summer sons". Notice that we only received one result, which was the unrelated book The Guest Cottage by Lori Foster.

Try a more specific search. Instead of just searching for an author or a book's title, try searching for the book's full title and the author's name.
Scroll to the bottom of your search results. You may find the Deep Search option there. Deep Search looks for titles that your library doesn't have.

Use the Notify Me smart tag. Even if option 2 shows you results, your library may not have access to the title. In this case, instead of the Borrow or Place Hold options, you may find Notify Me. This tag allows you to inform your library that you have an interest in the title. For more information about this option, review the Using the Notify Me Tag section of this guide.
You can recommend the library add a title to their collection using the Notify Me tag to share that you have an interest in the title.
(Note: This option is not a guarantee that the University Libraries will purchase the title.)
When searching a library in Libby, you may discover titles that aren't in their collection. These titles will have a Notify Me button (instead of Borrow or Place Hold).

Selecting the button will open information about adding the Notify Me smart tag. Select the Bell icon to add the tag to the title.
As described in the image, tagging a title with Notify Me doesn't guarantee that a library will acquire it, but Libby shares your interest (anonymously) with your libraries. If they add the title to the collection, we'll [Libby] will let you know right away.

You can view and edit your tags by selecting the Tags icon at the bottom of the app.

Note: If you have multiple libraries in your Libby app and the title is available at one of the libraries - even if it's not the one you are searching in - instead of seeing "notify me", you may get the option to borrow the title from the other library.
The Libby Help website is a great place to find more information about all of the options and features available with the app.
