Access to Articles and Reference Sources

Access to Journals not Limited to Tennessee Residents:

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)  provides open access to thousands of scientific and scholarly journals.

Tennessee Residents:

The Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) is an online library that gives everyone in Tennessee access to magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, practice tests, e-books, primary source materials, and more!

Job and Career Resources - The Tennessee Electronic Library provides access to a variety of helpful career resources from the interview process to starting your own business.

The Learning Express Library contains practice tests for ACT, SAT, graduate school exams, job certifications, computer skills, and more!

Language Learning Tools

Choose from: Spanish, French German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more!  There are also resources for learning English as a second language.

TEL4U  is an online resource for e-books, homwork help, and games and activities just for kids in K-5.

UT Libraries Books and Electronic Resources

Alumni and friends may use books and electronic resources inside the building. For electronic resources, you may use your own laptop on UT's wireless network or show your alumni ID to gain access to library computers. Library Society members may borrow books from our collection - learn more.

Dean's Student Advisory Committee

Composed of undergraduate and graduate students from across disciplines, the Student Advisory Committee to the Dean of Libraries’ office (DSAC) provides invaluable contributions to the UT Libraries.

Members meet as a full committee approximately three times per semester, with opportunities to propose and participate in special events or projects outside of meetings.
