Monday, June 13: Pendergrass is open!

  • Study rooms are temporarily unavailable while heating and ventilation is currently being connected to the Teaching and Learning Center.
  • The group study area is temporarily unavailable. 

What is the Teaching and Learning Center?

The Teaching and Learning Center will also become a new “front door” to Pendergrass Library. In this 19,375 gross-square-foot addition to the Veterinary Medical Center, there will be a simulation laboratory, 125 seat lecture theater, new laboratory space, and informal group spaces for the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Timeline of Construction

  • Construction starts: October 2020
    • Phase 1: October 5, 2020-December 8, 2020
      • Pendergrass Library foyer closes.
      • Brick foyer entrance to Pendergrass opens.
    • Phase 2: December 9, 2020 - April 2022
      • December 2020: Entrance to Pendergrass Library moves to River Drive entrance.
      • May - July 2021: Sprinkler system installation begins.
  • Expected Completion: Fall 2022
