Resources for supporting the UT community working on media and design remotely during this crisis.

Studio & Guide Information


  • Media, design, and GIS workstations available in the Commons South – netID login.
  • Audio rooms, video production room, and virtual reality rooms remain closed. 


The Studio team is working online to support media and design projects in several ways including:

  • Monitoring chat to support media and design work. Feel free to ask us questions:
    • Monday – Thursday 8am – 10pm
    • Friday 8am – 6pm
    • Sat 10am – 6pm
    • Sun 12pm – 10pm
  • Staff are providing scheduled consultations and instruction sessions with staff via zoom.
  • We have developed a resource guide with suggestions and tips for tools and resources to create your projects
  • We’re here for you, please reach out if you need us!

We have resumed large format printing services at Hodges and Pendergrass Libraries.

About this Guide

This guide includes tips and tools compiled by the Studio team to support media and design projects while our lab and spaces are not available. These tools include a combination of software and resources staff have reviewed and selected as well as tips and information developed by our team. This guide is not an exhaustive list of available tools and resources. If you need support and are using a tool not listed on these pages please reach out and we will work to help you as best we can. If you have suggestions for tools or need help finding tools to support your project needs please contact us.

Adobe Creative Cloud Status

OIT has worked with Adobe to make Adobe Creative Cloud available to students off campus through the end of the semester. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to
  2. Click Sign In in the top right corner.
  3. Enter in the Email Address field.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. This will redirect you to the Central Authentication Service Login page.
  6. Enter your NetID and Password
  7. Under Your Services, you should see the red icon and Creative Cloud, click Open.
  8. In the box on the right with your name and Manage Account, click on Install Creative Cloud app.
  9. Follow the instructions on the screen for installing the Creative Cloud app.
  10. Once the Creative Cloud app is installed, you can then install the particular applications you need.
