There are 26 countries where Arabic is officially recognized by the government, with 18 having a majority of their people using it as their first language.  Arabic is spoken in most Arab nations. It is the primary language of the Arab World mostly found in Asia, Middle East, and North Africa. Of the total world population, approximately 420 million speak Arabic, and this makes it the fifth most popular language in the world. Arabic is derived from the word Arab referring to the Bedouins since Arabic originated from the Arabian Peninsula, a region consisting mainly of nomadic tribes.
