- DEFA Film Library (Univ. of Massachusetts-Amherst)The only archive and study center outside Europe devoted to the study of East German film and filmmakers from 1946 to the present.
- Deutsches Filminstitut (DIF)Website of the oldest and largest cinematic institution in Germany which collects, preserves, and restores film. Contains a film archive, library, and museum, as well as information about DIF's educational programs, research materials, cultural events.
- The Kinoeye Archive - GermanyProvides list of online German cinema resources in English. Includes both external sites and all articles from the journal Kinoeye. Includes links to some well-known directors and many recognized German films.
- CineGraph - Hamburgisches Centrum für FilmforschungGerman-language website of the Hamburger Center for Film Research. Contains an encyclopedia of German cinema, book reviews, and information about current events and film festivals.
